Network moves
Network moves can be difficult. When we do a move we like to first take pictures of everything. Contacting providers can be a long drawn out process so make sure to plan a head. Call to get service at the new location the first chance you get. If you have email hosted at your office try to get new IPs as soon as possible. ISPs rarely let you keep the same IPs when changing locations. Be prepared to make DNS changes. If you are getting a different ISP tell them your requirements up front so that you know what to expect. If you have a VOIP Phone system make sure to contact your provider or make sure you allow your new IP in their system if needed. A lot of times VOIP providers restrict by IP Address.
There are so many things to take in consideration to make a network move go smooth. Every network is different and has different requirements. Planning is key to make things go smoothly. We do network moves as part of our Managed Services. This is something we have had to do over and over again. From Internet connection to VOIP PBX. It is a lot of work and a lot of times it helps to have someone with experience helping you.
If you need an extra hand. If you want some advise about a Network move. You know where to find us.
Virtual PBX or Dedicated PBX?
A lot of customer constantly ask how can we possibly use a Virtual PBX over a Dedicated PBX? This really depends on how high your usage is and what your needs are. We have lots of customers using our Virtual PBX service as their primary PBX. Obviously if you are buying the cheapest package you cannot expect to much, 256 MB of RAM is really only good for playing around or making 1 or 2 calls at a time. However we have customers with more than 50 phones on a Virtual PBX. We have customers with less phones that cannot use anything but a Dedicated PBX. Their usage is much higher. Sometimes these types of customers have 10 people on the phones and 20 people on hold waiting in the queue. If you are going to have high call volume spend a little more and get a Dedicated PBX!
We always suggest that you start off with a Virtual PBX. Most of the time for small businesses the virtual pbx will do what you need! If you already have a PBX give your provider as much information as possible and let them direct you. Most providers will be able to point you in the right direction as they are experienced in these types of matters.

Websitepanel
Websitepanel is a Free Control Panel. It used to be .dotnetpanel but for what ever reason the decided to open it up. Anyways I am still configuring it but it seems to be a nice control panel for Windows. If everything works out we will be moving our current Windows Clients to websitepanel. Currently our Windows customers do not have a control panel. We are hoping websitepanel will give them a good control panel for Windows Website Hosting.
